Believing in yourself is a major element of your success. It’s a major part of what you do or don’t do, and what you become or don’t become.
Yes, the old saying of “Believe in yourself and others will believe in you too” is definitely true! The same goes for “Fake it until you Make it”. The idea here is… Who are you faking? Not necessarily others, but yourself, your mind. Yes, your mind!
There’s a direct correlation between what you think, what you tell yourself… and your body language, which is what you display to others and what the world sees. If you believe in your mind and tell yourself you can do something, your body language will be positive, confident and will portray the same to others.
In other words, if you want to appear as x (fill in the x), all you have to do is behave as x…. Instead of saying you will be / want to be x in the future, say to yourself… I am a successful x. Make it right now in the present tense, as opposed to aiming to only become someone, or to do something in the future.
Try this test for a few days. “Pretend” you are what you are trying to become. Give yourself positive affirmation and act accordingly. Now this may seem simplistic, but it works….
So before telling yourself you can’t do something or you can’t become someone… Ask yourself instead, is it Impossible… Or can you rather say “I’m Possible”.
